06.17.04 | THE HEAT CONTINUES
With the sun setting in the west, and the Gulf of Mexico as a backdrop, Rita and her band played in the 105 Degree heat in Corpus Christi.

next stop....Alpine and The Railroad Blues Club.
( a mere 850 Km drive.)

06.16.04 | Texas Heat
Well, it's hot in Texas......the weather AND the music.

Saturday at Threadgills, (Austin) Kim Deschamps sat in with Rita and the band. Kim, of Cowboy Junkies and Blue Rodeo fame, is now living in Austin.

If you are in the Austin area, check out Kim and the Charlie Robinson Band.

Sunday, Rita was in College Station, George Bush's home town. Sunday was his 80th birthday and he went skydiving in the College Station area to celebrate.

Tuesday, at the Texas Art Venue in Conroe Texas was scheduled to be an acoustic duo performance, but the whole band played for the night... A good time was had by all.

Travel day today.....tomorrow Rita and her band play at the Cole Park Amphitheatre in Corpus Christi. As the oroganizer of the event said.." bring a change of clothes, lots of towels and sunglasses. We have cooling fans on stage as well."

To put things in perspective, Texans consider 90 degrees to be cool.

06.12.04 | Threadgills
It's Sat, June 12 and Rita is now setting up at Threadgills South, in Austin for her performance tonight.

One of the great venues in Austin, tonight's show will bring back memories of Janis Joplin and hopefully create memories of Rita Chiarelli.
